Not every set of armor inMonster Hunter Wildsis modeled after military gear or monsters. Some, like the Clerk set, feature a more casual look, but that doesn’t mean you won’t get to hunt anything to get it.

The Clerk set is one of the new armor sets added in the first Title Update forMonster Hunter Wilds. It’s the same set of clothes that some of the NPCs in the Grand Hub wear, and if you want your hunter to look as neat and clean as them, here’s what you need to do.

How to Get the Clerk Armor Set in MH Wilds

The Clerk set requires special materials thatdrop from Arena quests. You’ll need a variety of monster coins from the arena as well as some regular monster parts obtained from regular hunts. Here’s what you need to get each piece of this set.

2 Rathian Coin

1 Chata Coin

you may get the monster coins by fighting their corresponding monsters in Arena quests. As for Pinnacle Coins, they can drop from any monster in the arena, and you can get more if you finish hunts faster.

Keep in mind that you won’t get any normal monster carves/drops from Arena quests. To get the Rathalos Scales, Doshaguma Hides, Blangonga Pelts, and Gravios Carapaces, you need to hunt those monsters out in the wild (or in the Wounded Hollow if they spawn there by chance).

For the Clerk set to appear at the Smithy, you need to finish a Rathian Arena quest at least once.

Is the Clerk Set Any Good?

The Clerk set features plenty of defensive skills that are meant to help hunters weather through tough attacks. Wearing a full Clerk set will net you the following:

These skills aren’t particularly impressive, but Divine Blessing and Recovery Up stand out as very good defensive armor skills. Survival Expert 3 is also decent, but it may not always be useful, as not every area has interactable environment pieces.

Overall, the Clerk set is alright if you’re looking for something that can help you survive more. However, it will easily get outclassed byother High Rank armor sets. Still, it’s worth crafting for the fashion alone, since you can always wear it as layered armor.
