Life Dews are the player’s main sources of healing inAI Limit.They restore a nice chunk of health when consumed, and they recharge when you interact with a Branch too, making them Arissa’s best friend throughout her journey across Havenswell.
With how lethal everything is in this game, players will want to get as many Life Dews in their pockets as possible. This isn’t any different from the usual song-and-dance foundin otherSoulslikegames, and like in many ofAI Limit’spredecessors, upgrading Life Dews is a simple-yet-time-consuming process.
How to Get More Life Dews in AI Limit
All players start with three Life Dews, but once they fight their way out of the sewers inthe very early part of the game,they’ll be able to get more by finding Soil. After reaching the Outer Wall area, you’ll eventually reach a survivor camp where an NPC named Delpha, a self-proclaimed botanist who is trying to revive plants. He is standing under a tent near the entrance of the camp.
If you speak with Delpha, he’ll give you your first Fine Soil sample. Once you have it,go to the nearby Branch and select the Cultivate option. By doing this, Arissa will drop the soil onto the Branch, increasing the number of Life Dews you can carry in the process.
Delpha will then ask you to bring him any Soil samples you find in the city. Bring those to him, and he’ll give you more Fine Soil for the branch. There are seven Soil samples in the city, and you’ll find them in the following areas:
How to Upgrade Life Dew Healing Effectiveness
Apart from getting more Life Dew charges, players can also increase the healing they get from each charge by gettingDew Essence.Unlike Fine Soil, Dew Essence does not need to be used, consumed, or offered to Branches. Instead, you only need to keep them in your inventory to enjoy their effect.
You can get Dew Essencesby finding and killing giant snails and butterflies. Almost every level has one, and there are 10 Dew Essences in total. These giant insects are often in hidden areas in each level — the paths to some are hidden in plain sight, while others are locked behind doors that require specific keys. Exploring maps issomething that allAI Limitplayers should be doing, so make sure to search every nook and cranny for secrets.
