This means that themost optimal way to get Diamonds inMinecraftis to start strip mining on Y-Level -58. Strip mining is a process in which players use their Pickaxe todig in any direction with a 2x1 block radiusso that they can continuously walk through a narrow pathway. This is a great way of finding Diamonds, as players will have a view of 8 potential Diamond Ore veins just from a straight line, as they have up, down, forward, left, and right to look to.
Players should always strip mine for Diamonds at Y-Level -58 and -59, even though Diamonds can be found commonly in -50 and below, it’s the most optimal route to mine between Y -58 and -59.
