Super Recoveryis the skill players can get by equipping four pieces of the Zoh Shia armor set inMonster Hunter Wilds, and it has excellent synergy with certain builds and playstyles that make it a great comfort skill.

In contrast to other bonuses likeGore Magala’s Black Eclipse, Super Recovery granted by Zoh Shia’s Pulse is much simpler. Still,MH Wildsplayers who want to dig into the finer details will want to know how this skill works and what works best with it.

MH Wilds Super Recovery Description

MH Wilds: Super Recovery, Explained

Super Recovery allows players topassively regenerate their health up to full. Health naturally recovers over time as long as there is red health in your HP Gauge. However, with Super Recovery, you’ll be able to heal back up to fulleven without any red health.

Based on our testing,Super Recovery 1 ticks once every two seconds, regenerating one point of health every time. Meanwhile,Super Recovery 2 ticks twice as fast, resulting ina 1 HP/s gradual healing effect. This stacks on top of the passive healing for red health.

Super Recovery will not work if you turn off Natural Recovery while in the Training Area. This might also be the case if red health recovery is prevented for whatever reason during a hunt.

Recovery Up vs Recovery Speed

Super Recovery synergizes with Recovery Up to provide players a stronger per-second healing. Likewise, theMedic Meal food buffalso improves Super Recovery’s effectiveness, but it won’t provide any additional bonuses if players already have Recovery Up 3 in their build.

Meanwhile, Recovery Speed only helps with the red portion of a player’s health bar. It will drastically improve the regeneration rate of recoverable health when paired with Super Recovery, but once that part of the health bar is gone, it will do absolutely nothing.

Players who want to maximize Super Recovery’s effect should go for Recovery Up instead of Recovery Speed. The latter isn’t necessarily a bad skill to have, but since the greaves and helmet of the Zoh Shia armor set have Recovery Speed built into them, players shouldn’t have to worry much about this skill.

Recommendations

Wearingfour pieces of the Zoh Shia set to get Super Recovery 2is the most ideal for players who want to go all-in onpassive health regeneration. Combine this with an Immunizer and a weapon that can block, such as the Greatswordor Charge Blade, and you’ll be able to shrug off most monster attacks.

If you want a more balanced setup, thena hybrid Zoh Shia/Arkvulcan armor setup will do nicely. Assuming that you’re able to constantly attack a monster, then you should be able to recover more health in a shorter amount of time.

Super Recovery is best used to counter chip damage and light hits, which is why four pieces of the Zoh Shia set is recommended for players using shielded weapons. If you take a direct hit and lose a substantial amount of HP, you’re better off using a healing potion.

However, if you’re using a lighter weapon like a Long Sword or Dual Blades, then the hybrid Zoh Shia/Arkvulcan setup (or even a full Arkvulcan build) will be more beneficial, provided that you may keep attacking without getting hit.
