A new leak fromHonkai: Star Railis hinting at a significant buff coming for Version 1.4 five-star character Jingliu in the near future, teasing a major shift in her scaling. The massively popular sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse has seen a wide variety of characters added to the roster since its debut in early 2023, introducing plenty of unique playstyles. The recent addition of Amphoreus brought the game’s newest playable Path withthe addition of Remembrance, as well as a new Ice variant of the Trailblazer. Now, some of the game’s older characters are set to receive a major boost.

Honkai: Star Railhas already teased some major changes coming to the game’s older roster members ahead of the Version 3.1 update. HoYoverse confirmed that it was looking at several older characters to potentially receive new buffs in the future, citing the desire to bring some of its past cast members up to current standards. HoYoverse even revealed some of the first to receive buffs during Version 3.2’s livestream, naming Blade, Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Jingliu as the chosen characters. One character’s buffs are now seeing some early teasers.

Honkai: Star Rail Leak Hints at Jingliu Buffs

A recent update shared by prominentHonkai: Star Railleaker Luna is hinting at some of thebuffs coming to Ice Destruction character Jingliu. According to the post, Jingliu’s buffs will be heavily centered around her scalings, with HoYoverseplanning to adjust Jingliu’s kitto focus more around her HP. The buffs will also affect Jingliu’s Eidolons, teasing that ATK-related Eidolons for Jingliu will also be seeing some changes as part of the buff. The new buffs to Jingliu are expected to release alongside the previously-teased buffs to Silver Wolf, Blade, and Kafka in Version 3.4.

Jingliu’s new changes will look to make a major impact on her gameplay withinHonkai: Star Rail, already featuring significant perks to building around HP. Jingliu boasts one of the highest base HP stats inHonkai: Star Rail, sitting at fourth amongall current roster members behind Castorice, Mydei, and Fu Xuan. Jingliu’s Traces also already feature multiple boosts to her HP, with Max HP percentage buffs found in both the Deathrealm and Frostwraith branches of her skill tree.

Jingliu’s shift to an HP-focused carry comes asStar Railhas continued to release more characters revolving around HP as a core mechanic. The previously-mentioned Castorice features a similar draining mechanic to Jingliu, sapping HP from her allies in order to power up her own attacks.Hyacine could also pair nicelywith Jingliu following her release in Version 3.3, with the Remembrance healer rumored to be focused around consistent healing and Max HP buffs. Jingliu’s new buffs look to put one ofHonkai: Star Rail’s most popular early DPS units back in the spotlight in Version 3.4.
