Released on March 25,Into the Emerald Dream isHearthstone’s 29th expansionthat released 145 new cards for players to collect. Like the previous expansion, The Great Dark Beyond, it once again explores another corner ofWorld of Warcraftlore: the Emerald Dream, as the clash between the Druids and the Old Gods defines the fate of the World Tree. The expansion introduced two new keywords: Dark Gift, buffs for minions discovered by Discovery effects, and cards with Imbue, which change the hero’s power for a new one. Now, Blizzard has revealed that new cards are coming to the game soon.
Hearthstonehas unveiled the Embers of the World Tree mini-set, which will be released to all players on May 13. This mini-set will have 38 newHearthstonecards to collect, with 4 legendary, 2 epic, 16 rare, and 16 common cards. The normal versions of the Embers of the World Tree mini-set can be bought for $14.99 or 2,000 Gold, while the edition with all the gold cards will cost $69.99 or 10,000 Gold. Players who get the most expensive version of the mini-set will receive a Diamond copy of Fyrakk’s Legendary minion, the Blazing, tobuild theirHearthstonedecks.
New Hearthstone Mini-Set Continues to Explore the Warcraft Universe
Following on from the story of Into the Emerald Dream, the focus of the Embers of the World Tree mini-set is theWarcraftRaid called Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope, with the Druids of the Flame attacking the World Tree. In all, the mini-set will contain 72 copies of the 38 cards, which can be purchased in packs or as a complete set. So far, 16 of these cards are known: three for the Rogue, Mage, and Hunter classes, two for the Death Knight and Druid classes, and the Neutral cards Living Flame, Petal Picker, and Zaqali Flamemancer.
The Embers of the World Tree mini-set is part of theYear of the Raptor, the year of the Standard format that began on March 25. As part ofHearthstone’s 2025 roadmap, players can expect two more expansions: The Shrouded City and The Heroes of Time.Hearthstonewill also release mini-sets to accompany the two expansions, with more details to be revealed in the coming months.
