However,it is set in an alternate timeline where Zeon won the war— in the original Universal Century timeline, the Earth Federation wins the war, thanks in part to the efforts of Amuro Ray, who pilots the RX-78-2 Gundam. InGQuuuuuuX, Char Aznable captures the RX-78, giving Zeon a great advantage over the Federation.
