Boethia, the Daedra Prince of cruelty and torture, has a challenge for the players that awaits at his shrine inOblivion Remastered. He’ll have nine chosen champions of different races ready to face off against you in his oblivion realm. If you manage to beat all the strong champions that Boethia throws at you, he’ll reward you with one of the best weapons in the game, the enchantedGoldbrandKatana, which inflicts fire status on enemies on every strike. Here’s how to complete the Shrine of Boethia quest.
How to Start the Shrine of Boethia Quest in Oblivion Remastered
This shrine is part of theBlood of Daedra main quest inOblivion Remastered.
Players can find Boethia’s Shrine justeast of the Imperial CityinOblivion Remastered. Before heading to the shrine, you’ll need to pick up a Daedra Heart by eliminating a few enemies within the Oblivion Gates. There is a high chance of finding a Daedra Heart on Dremora and Xivilai enemies. Once you have the item, head to the Shrine of Boethia and offer it to the Daedric Prince.
Boethia will commune and ask players to prove themselves by taking part in hisTournament of Ten Bloods. This will require players to venture into the small Oblivion Gate that leads to Boethia’s realm and defeat nine of Boethia’s Champions in a battle to the death.
Players need to have strong gear and weapons equipped before facing Boethia’s champions in the Tournament of Ten Bloods. Also, verify to create a quick save before entering the portal, just in case you want to exit the portal and change the equipment.
Defeating Boethia’s Champions & Getting the Goldbrand Katana
As previously mentioned, the Tournament of Ten Bloods inOblivion Remasteredconsists ofnine champions of different racesyou’ll need to defeat, as, according to your in-game race, you’ll be considered the tenth warrior. Here’s a list of all the warriors you’ll face while completing the Shrine of Boethia quest (you’ll fight nine of them).
Once you defeat a champion, it’s important to loot their bodies for any helpful potions or high-quality loot that you can either use or sell for gold.
Once you’ve defeated all nine champions in the Tournament of Ten Bloods, Boethia will summon a portal leading back to the shrine. Talk to the statue again, and he’ll grant youthe enchanted Goldbrand Katanathat can inflict fire damage on strike inOblivion Remastered.
