Ahead of April 24, GameStop revealed the trade-in value of the various Switch models when used as credit toward a Switch 2, giving gamers an idea of how much they could save. According to GameStop, the best potential credit toward a Switch 2 is $175 when trading in a Switch OLED. In addition, the regular Switch model can be traded in for up to $125, while the Switch Lite can get gamers $100 toward the new system. This deal will go live oncepre-orders begin at GameStop on April 24and will run until April 30, giving fans a week to take advantage of the additional trade-in value. The deal appears to also apply to those who decide to trade in their existing Switch after already pre-ordering the new system.

It is worth noting that these are the potential trade-in values listed by GameStop for the Switch models. The video game retailer notes the product must be in good condition and have all its required components to get the highest value. While “defective items” might still be able to earn credit toward the new system, GameStop ultimately determines the condition.

For context,GameStop currently liststhe normal trade-in value of the Nintendo Switch as up to $99 store credit and that of the OLED version as up to $121 store credit. With this in mind, this upcoming deal could be a good time to trade in consoles for those already considering it. In addition, GameStop Pro members will get another 10% credit toward their trade-in value. The Pro membership costs $25 a year, but it does come with additional perks for those who frequently shop fordeals at GameStop.

These trade-in values come asGameStop recently confirmed its Nintendo Switch 2 pricing. According to the retailer, the console will sell for $449.99, with theMario Kart Worldbundle going for $499.99.
