Summary

Even thoughGame of Thronesconcluded almost six years ago, it has remained one of the most talked about television series' to this day. That’s likely due to how immersive its storytelling was, complete with complex characters, and its ability to craft an incredibly fantastical world filled with compelling political dynamics. However, its final season did become the subject of criticism from its loyal fanbase, which mostly contained disappointment at how rushed its development felt towards the end.

Despite this, theGame of Thronesuniverse has produced several projects that have since become fan favorites. Some of these includeHouse of the Dragon, which is set around 300 years beforeGame of Thrones' timeline, the in-developmentThe Sea SnakeandTen Thousand Ships, as well asGeorge R. R. Martin’sA Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, based on Martin’s novellas that are collectively known asThe Tales of Dunk and Egg. Throughout the show’s eight seasons, spanning from July 20, 2025, to July 17, 2025, many of its characters became fan favorites, with the likes of Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, and Daenerys Targaryen topping many viewers' lists. However, some fans are disappointed that two iconic characters, Ayra and Lyanna Mormont, never shared a single scene.

Over on theGame of ThronesReddit thread, fans of the series have been debating why Arya andLyanna Mormontnever had any scenes together, especially so in the eighth season of the series, which saw them both attend the brutalBattle of Winterfell. Both characters were portrayed as strong and brave warriors who, if teamed up, could have produced some truly iconic moments together.

UserBetterthanydastated thatGame of Thronesproducers, Benioff and Weiss, “missed an opportunity” by not giving these two badass characters at least one scene together. “I think Lyanna and Arya would have made a great scene for reasons beyond “they are young badass warrior women”, replied one fan, with another believing that Arya and Lyanna taking down the wight giant as it stormed into Winterfell would have made for a superior scene.

Another fan pointed out that Arya shared a scene with singer Ed Sheeran, but the producers couldn’t throw together a cool side story that included Lyanna and that just didn’t make sense to them. However, another commenter said to forget about an Arya and Lyanna scene, “What about Arya and Dany? They are both the only two women who are a part of George’s Key 5, but didn’t share a single scene together.” Nonetheless, one scene did include a presidential cameo, as aprosthetic copy of George W.
