In the world ofFire Force,the second-generation pyrokinetics have the ability to control and manipulate fire that comes from external sources. The third generation, however, can generate fire from their own body. That’s why the second generation is often seen as inferior compared to the third generation.
However, that doesn’t mean the second-generation is inherently weaker than the third-generation. On the contrary, some second-gens, such as the ones mentioned in this list, can proudly hold their ground against powerful infernals and other third-gen pyrokinetics. So, with that in mind, here are the some of the strongest second-generation pyrokinetics in the series.
7Amon Hajiki
Super Advanced Thermal Camera
Amon Hajiki is the first platoon chief Fire Soldier of Special Fire Force Company 2. As a second-generation pyrokinetic, he has possibly the most unique ability on this list. Unlike other second-gens, who can manipulate fire at will,Amon’s ability allows him to see a heat source, sort of like a super-advanced thermal camera.
Considering his enemies are mostly infernals and other pyrokinetics, both of whom emit a considerable amount of heat, this ability enables Amon to pinpoint the location of his enemies, even if they hide behind thick walls.
6Takehisa Hinawa
The Ability to Control Bullets
Takehisa Hinawa is a lieutenant in Special Fire Force Company 8. Like most second-generation pyrokinetics, Hinawa can control fire from external sources. In this case, he can freely manipulate the fire ignited by his bullets, which is the perfect ability foran expert marksman like Hinawa.
With this ability, Hinawa can easily increase or decrease the speed of his bullets, which means he can adjust the lethality of his bullets at will. His ability also enables him to alter the trajectory of his bullets to the point of turning them into homing bullets that can chase a moving target.
5Giovanni
Fire-Powered Prosthetics
Giovanni, also known as Dr. Giovanni,is the captain of Special Fire Force Company 3. As a pyrokinetic, his ability is actually quite common among the second generation: he simply manipulates fire at will. The way he uses this ability, however, is what earns him his place as a captain.
Similar to Hinawa, Giovanni uses his pyrokinetic ability to change the trajectory of projectile weapons. However, unlike Hinawa, who applies his ability to bullets, Giovanni uses his ability in all sorts of things, such as prosthetic hands, claws, blades, and many others. This kind of application makes Giovanni’s ability way more versatile than Hinawa’s.
4Maki Oze
Controlling Giant Fireballs and Sentient Fireballs
Maki Oze is the Unit Leader of Tokyo’s Special Fire Force Company 8. As a second-generation pyrokinetic, Maki’s ability is quite similar to Hinawa and Giovanni, but on a much grander scale. She can easily control a massive fireball generated by a third-generation pyrokinetic and redirect it elsewhere.
However, Maki can also use her ability in a delicate and refined manner in the form of somewhat sentient small fireballs called Flare and Sputter. When she puts Flare and Sputter inside the Iron Owls — a pair of heavy metallic devices created by Vulcan — Maki can freely control the device to do anything from attacking hidden enemies to saving civilians from raging infernals.
3Charon
Absorbing and Releasing Explosive Attacks
Charon is a member of the White-Clad and the guardian ofthe Second Pillar.As a second-generation pyrokinetic, he has the ability to take any sort of attacks that land on his body and turn them into an explosive power that he can expel anytime he wants.
Think of Charon’s power like the Black Panther’s suit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Both can take any attacks and store them as energy that can be released later. But while Black Panther expels it in the form of a shockwave, Charon can use the built-up energy to create explosions.
2Karim Flam
The Only Ice User In Fire Force
Karim Flam is a Lieutenant of Special Fire Force Company 1. He has the strangest pyrokinetic ability — not only among the second generation, but also among pyrokinetics in general. With the help of his custom-made instrument, Karim can turn flame into sound, and then sound into ice.
This means that among people who can generate and control fire,Karim is the only one who can generate and control ice. This makes Karim the natural enemy of both Infernals and pyrokinetics alike. The only reason why he doesn’t dominate the world ofFire Forceis because he needs his special instrument to fight.
1Benimaru Shinmon
The First and Only Hybrid Pyrokinetics
Benimaru Shinmon is the captain of Special Fire Force Company 7. While it is true that Benimaru is a second-generation, he has also shown the ability to generate his own flame like a third-generation. This means Benimaru is the only known hybrid pyrokinetic in the series.
The combination of being able to generate and control any flame in his surroundings makes Benimaru Shinmonone of the most powerful pyrokinetics in the world.From creating flaming wheels that can cut and burn through anything to controlling fiery poles from afar, Benimaru Shinmon can do it all.
