Summary
Fallout 76has released a new update for April 2025. Identified by version number 1.7.19.19, this release revampsFallout 76Challenge Events and introduces a wide variety of balancing changes and bug fixes, among other novelties.
Bethesda’s live-service ARPG will celebrate its seventh anniversary in November 2025. Despite a rocky launch,Fallout 76established itself as a long-term success, maintaining a large enough player base to justify regular content drops more than six years following its release.
Continuing this trend, the game has just received yet another update, which rolled out on April 22 and bumped its version number up to 1.7.19.19. One of the highlights of this release is a fairly comprehensive revamp of theFallout 76Challenge Events, which Bethesda says was motivated by a desire to make them more noticeable. As part of this overhaul, Challenge Events have been rebranded into Mini Seasons, and can now be accessed from the Seasons menu, right next to the latest season’s content. Mini Season rewards are unlocked via Season Tickets, which carry over between seasons, making it possible to unlock everything at the start of a new Mini Season.
Mini Season activities remain similar to Challenge Events, with each new season starting with a free reward that needs to be worn while completing certain challenges. Once the initial batch of tasks is completed,Fallout 76playerswill be left with more straightforward challenges that allow them to earn additional Season Tickets in order to unlock the remaining rewards or build up their reserves for the following season. Bethesda is hoping that the new system will result in fewer players missing out on unique rewards.
The 1.7.19.19 update also adds the necessary assets for The Big Bloom event, which was previously announced as part ofFallout 76Season 20. The event requires players to collect three types of flowers, set 25 Overgrown on fire, and then defeat a Legendary Honey Beast called Beezlebub, Giant Bee of Yore. The reward for doing so comes in the form of 300 XP, 100 caps, 3 Treasury Notes, up to 3 Legendary Modules, a 3-star Legendary armor or weapon, and some consumables. The Big Bloom will enter the game’s event rotation next Tuesday, April 29.
Another novelty arriving as part of the April 2025 update are various balancing changes, encompassing everything from armor and combat to enemy AI and C.A.M.P. mechanics. Limb-crippling builds also got a significant buff in this release: most enemies no longer have immunity to crippled limbs, and mods that used to offer a 20% cripple chance now grant 50%.

Challenge Events Refreshed
Challenge Events like Science of Love and Pioneer Scout’s Uncharted Lands have been a great way to gather the community together to earn some fun rewards.
As they were, we felt that these events were easy for players to miss, which resulted in a lot of people missing out on unique rewards. We also saw that the system for unlocking the rewards created confusion whenever a new event kicked off.
We’re refreshing Challenge Events to make it easier to know when one is happening but also make it more straightforward to obtain the rewards. From here on out, Challenge Events are now called a Mini Season and you’ll be able to find the latest one right next to the current Season within the Seasons menu.
Season Tickets are used to claim the rewards in a Mini Season. Completing all the Event Challenges will give you enough tickets to unlock everything, but if you have enough tickets when a Mini Season starts you can unlock all the rewards immediately. Just ensure you complete the Mini Season challenges to get your tickets back if your goal is to unlock all the rewards in the main season.
Outside of the changes noted above, the Mini Season experience remains very similar to the Challenge Events you know. Things kick off with a free reward (now obtainable through the Mini Season instead of the Atomic Shop) and there are challenges that requires you to wear that reward to get completion status. After that, you complete Mini Season Challenges to obtain more Season Tickets to unlock the rest of the reward.
The first Mini Season starts today with the Appalachian Outlaws.Check out this article on it for a look at what rewards await you.
The Big Bloom – Starting April 29
Spring is here!
Meet Black-Eyed Susan. She loves flowers, floral arrangements, and she may have a penchant for violence. Right now, she needs your help with her latest project.
Black-Eyed Susan’s favorite meadow has been overtaken by strange, plant-like beasts called Overgrown. They’re making the area too dangerous for her to pick flowers. So, she needs you to head into the meadow, pick some flowers and defeat those monsters.
After gathering flowers and dealing with the Overgrown threat with some explosive flair, Susan’s archnemesis will appear! Bee-zlebub. The King Bee. Defeat him and claim your rewards!
Do watch out for the mines though. They’re the remnants of her previous attempt to get those persistent beasts out of her meadow.

Limb Damage and Crippling Changes
We expect the changes below will make most enemies easier to cripple while making limb damage more consistent and predictable. It will also result in making crippling enemies like Region Bosses more difficult, requiring more focused fire.
These changes also allow us to remove cripple immunity from many creatures and leverage limb damage and crippling in more engaging ways moving forward.
