This colossal greatsword appears like a solid chunk of pitch-black ore, only vaguely resembling a sword with its pointed, somewhat triangular shape. Almost futuristic in design, the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatswordsuits Str/Arc builds, adding magical damageto each swing, and is among the heaviest weapons in its category.
To obtain the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword, players need tocarefully explore the Ruined Forge of Starfall Pastin the Scadu Altus region. The sword rests on a hidden altar located on the second level of the forge.
6Shadow Sunflower Blossom
Taking a Huge Flower into Combat Seems Fun
AnotherSOTEweapon, theShadow Sunflower Blossom, is probablyone of the most fun additions in the expansion. This massive dark flower, which Tarnished can use to smash enemies, is undeniably large, but what makes it stand out is how much it resembles an actual sunflower — one that anyone could pick from a field and try to wield (though with far less satisfying results).Best suited for Str/Fai builds, this colossal weapon, despite its impressive size, isn’t particularly heavy, making it accessible to many characters.
Getting the Shadow Sunflower Blossom can be a daunting task, as players must defeat the hidden optional Scadutree Avatar boss in the Scadutree Base area of the Shadow Keep. Not only islocating the area tricky without a guide, but the boss itself has three full phases, each with a separate health bar.
5Starscourge Greatsword
Iconic Paired Swords of the Strongest Demigod
One of the few large paired weapons inElden Ring, theStarscourge Greatswordsare an imposing choice for Str characters, though they can look somewhat ridiculous in combat. Undeniably stunning, both swords are so oversized that it’s best not to question how a regular-sized Tarnished can wield them simultaneously — unless they are as massive and powerful as General Radahn himself, one of the strongest Demigods inElden Ringlore.
To obtain these impressive paired greatswords, players mustdefeat Starscourge Radahn at Redmane Castleand then trade the Remembrance of the Starscourge with Enia at Roundtable Hold.
4Fallingstar Beast Jaw
Enormous Size Coupled with Incredible Reach
TheFallingstar Beast Jawwas a highly popular colossal weapon inElden Ringbefore its nerf, thanks to its great reach, high damage, and the Gravity Bolt unique skill, which dealt an insane amount of stance damage. Hard, heavy, and shining black, this weapon is both menacing and imposing, with a crooked tip that seems to hit quite hard (though enemy feedback might be needed to confirm). While not as oversized as some great hammers or maces, its length and distinct shape firmly place it among the biggest armaments players can wield in the game.
The Fallingstar Beast Jaw is a guaranteeddrop from the optional Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast bossat the top of Mt. Gelmir. It’s impressive how quickly the Tarnished managed to turn part of the beast’s jaw into a deadly weapon.
3Anvil Hammer
Well, That’s an Anvil, But Not for Forging
The final piece from theShadow of the Erdtreeexpansion on this ranking, theAnvil Hammeris among the heaviest and largest weapons inElden Ring. Wielding a massive anvil attached to a small grip isn’t something players get to do often, but those who equip it should be mindful of itsvery slow attack speed and high Stamina consumption. Still, the Anvil Hammer’s striking design alone might be enough to convince some fans to give it a try.
The Anvil Hammer can befound in a furnace at the Ruined Forge Lava Intake, southeast of Ellac Greatbridge — a fitting location for such a unique weapon.
2Prelate’s Inferno Crozier
Oh, Smough’s Hammer, What’s Become of You?
Now, onto a couple ofElden Ring’sreal heavy-hitters. First up is thePrelate’s Inferno Crozier, which bears a striking resemblance to theiconic Smough’s Hammerfrom theDark Soulsseries. Similar in weight and size, the Prelate’s Inferno Crozier stands out with its more refined appearance, featuring a fierce crimson design and intricate roiling flame decorations. The sheer size of this hammer all but guarantees that any smaller enemy in the Tarnished’s path will be flattened on hit.
The Prelate’s Inferno Crozier is a guaranteed drop per playthroughfrom a Fire Prelate wielding it inside Fort Laiedd, located in Mt. Gelmir.
1Giant-Crusher
An Enormous Boulder on a Stick Can Really Crush Some Giants, Apparently
Forfans ofDS3’sLedo’s Great Hammer, here comes itsElden Ringcounterpart. The true champion of oversized colossal armaments in both the base game and theShadow of the Erdtreeexpansion, theGiant-Crusheris the heaviest, the biggest, and has the highest Strength requirement. Designed to leave an impression, this massive boulder on a stick is surprisingly practical in combat, especially with its devastating charged heavy attack. While Tarnished can technically equip two of them at once, that’s probably best left as a thought experiment rather than an actual combat build.
Interestingly, the Giant-Crusher is surprisingly easy to obtain, considering its sheer uniqueness in every department. Players cansimply loot it from a carriage chest in Altus Plateau, directly south of the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Grace.
