The Bumbling Fool Tries To Run Away, Only To Become A Hit-And-Run Victim
Most of the higher-ups in Shinra are intelligent in their own right, even if they may be more interested in lining up their pockets instead of saving the world. However, Palmer is an exception here, with this bumbling buffoon displaying numerous times why fans love laughing at his incompetence.
He is fought in Coral Town and is easily dealt with by the party, prompting him to make a hasty retreat. His incompetence is highlighted again, however, as he fails to look at both sides of the road and is promptly run over by a passing truck, making for a stupid yet hilarious conclusion to this battle.
