Even prior to its official release,Dragon Ball: Sparking Zeroput up player countsin excess of 91,000 concurrent players on Steam during early access, and the fighting game sold more than 3 million copies within its first 24 hours.
Much of the credit for that success has come thanks toDragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s character roster, which was already the largest in franchise history at launch, with more than 180 playable fighters. Now, as reported byThe Gamer, the leak from the Humble Bundle store has revealed eight new fighters set to make their debut this month, all based on theDragon Ball Daimaanime series. Four of these are variants of Vegeta, with the standard Vegeta (Mini) and his powered-up variant forms for Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, and Super Saiyan 3. Also joining the ranks will be Glorio, Panzy, Majin Kuu, and a version of Goku (Mini) that is discernible from the same character that players may have received as a pre-order bonus.

It’s not entirely clear yet whether the list of leaked characters covers absolutely everything planned for the next DLC pack. There were11 new characters inDragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s Hero of Justice DLC, which was released on January 23. Most of those covered different variations of Gohan and Piccolo, but there were also new playable versions of Cell, Gamma 1, and Gamma 2, along with a Red Ribbon Army disguise for Piccolo and three custom battles.

A few days prior to the game’s release, internet sleuths on Twitter had already uncovered some of the game’s DLC plans. Even in the months prior to the game’s release, Spike Chunsoft was having trouble keeping the lid on its roster reveals, as fans preemptively unveiled the return of characters fromDragon Ball GTand lesser-known villains like Garlic Jr. and Cooler.
