With all-new experiences coming toDisneyland Parkand Disney California Adventure, the resort has also just announced that guests will be able to snag specialty merchandise items during the anniversary celebrations as well.
Disneyland’s 70th anniversary is gearing up to be a spectacle of magic with several exciting announcements already released by the resort. The anniversary will see the return of the beloved “Paint the Night” electrical parade as well as the introduction of “World of Color Happiness,” a new iteration of the nightly water show at Disney California Adventure. Several of Disneyland’s most popular attractions will also undergo transformations for the milestone, including “It’s a Small World,” which will feature a nightly projection show inspired by famed Disney artist, Mary Blair.
TheDisney Parks Bloghas unveiled a look at some of the new items guests will be able to purchase when the celebration officially begins on May 16. The release will include four distinct collections, each featuring a range of items from apparel, accessories, collectibles, jewelry, and more. The so-called “Celebration Collection” will showcase a blend of classic Disney Parks style with new character art and bold colors and designs and will include items from apparel to accessories. This collection will also feature collaborations with Loungefly and Dooney & Bourke. Joining the Celebration Collection is the “Castle Collection,” inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle, the magnificent icon of Disneyland.
Disneyland Reveals Several New Merchandise Collections
In addition, the “Vault Collection” will celebrate the early years and eras of Disneyland with nostalgic designs that will be released throughout the course of the 70th anniversary. The first release, called the Replica Chapter, will include retro-inspired items, while the second release, Mickey Mouse & Maps Chapter, is inspired by the iconic park maps, displaying thechanges that have been made to the Disneyland attractionsand lands over the years. Finally, the “Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary Walt Disney Nostalgia Collection” will honor Walt Disney himself, featuring inspirational and well-known quotes and celebrating the heritage of the Disneyland Resort.
Other new experiences for the 70th anniversary include a two-hour guided walking tour of Disneyland Park, with a focus on the park’s heritage and history from opening day to now,as well as immersive dining experiences, including at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. In addition to these offerings, the resort is rolling out several new MagicBand+ interactive areas, located in each land in Disneyland Park. A commemorative MagicBand+ will also be available for purchase, as well as several other limited-time merchandise items.
With so many specialty items being released for the 70th anniversary, Disney guests, fans, and collectors alike will have plenty to look forward to when the celebration begins on June 09, 2025. For a limited time, guests can also take advantage of a specialDisneyland Anniversary Ticket Offerfor trips between May 16 and August 14. However, the celebration event will run until summer 2026, so there is plenty of time to experience the magic of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary and all the history, heritage, and magic that has been created over the last seven decades.
