Destiny 2: The Palindrome PvE God Roll

For PvE, the Palindrome hasone definitive combinationthat allows the weapon to shine. It’s the only hand cannon inDestiny 2that can get Rolling Storm and is perfect if you’re running a Titan with Storm’s Keep or a Warlock with Ionic Sentry.

Rolling Storm

Range

The Palindrome is a rare case of a Nightfall weapon rolling Explosive Payload in the third column.Explosive Payloadsplits the damage into base and explosive, giving an approximate 15% damage increase without requiring you to do anything other than fire the weapon.

Explosive Payload in the third column allows you tolean into Bolt Chargewith Rolling Storm in the fourth column.Rolling Stormgrants stacks of Bolt Charge when killing targets (1 stack per kill) and offers increased effects if you’re Amplified (2 stacks per kill).

There are other perks to go for in the fourth column, likeMaster of ArmsandMagnificent Howl, if you’re not a fan of Bolt Charge-focused builds. However, Rolling Storm is what makes the new The Palindrome stand out among the rest of the weapons.

Destiny 2: The Palindrome PvP God Roll

The PvP god roll is a bit more flexible and depends on your playstyle. While the Palindrome has classic perks, like Explosive Payload, there are other options available.

Opening Shot

Explosive Payloadis a staple perk on hand cannons in PvP, thanks to the flinch it inflicts. But if youalready have a good Rosewith Explosive Payload, there’s also To the Pain.To the Painoffers aim assist and handling as you take damage, making the weapon feel snappier. Regardless of the perk, you still need three precision hits to secure a kill in the Crucible, with the optimal time-to-kill being 0.87 seconds.

In the fourth column, the best perk isOpening Shotfor a major aim assist and range boost for your first shot. It allows you to hit maximum range without any help from the weapon mods. A decent alternative to Opening Shot isMaster of Arms. With one stack of Master of Arms, you need two precision shots and one body shot to secure a kill against Guardians with Tier 9 Resilience and below. However, this perk requires a kill to activate and lasts 7 seconds. It might be a fun choice in 6v6 playlists, but in Competitive or Trials of Osiris, you want a perk that consistently aids you in every duel.
