Several new fixes relate toDead by Daylight’s newTokyo Ghoul-themed killer, The Ghoul, who is a fierce version of Ken Kaneki from the esteemed anime and manga series. A couple of these changes relate to The Ghoul’s multi-use Kagune Leap attack, fixing the reticle to no longer display a collision notice when targeting Survivors who are downed and removing the visual aura effect on The Ghoul’s tentacles when he performs the second leap in a chain. Patch 8.6.1 also fixes a problem that had been causing players controlling The Ghoul to lose the ability to adjust the field of vision slider after activating his special ability, and it also prevents the camera from zooming in on a survivor’s chest at the end of The Ghoul’s Mori animation.

The other big recent change is the return ofDead by Daylight’s Blood Moon Event, which was launched on April 7, and the latest update provides a collection of changes to make the remainder of the event more enjoyable and fair for players. Blood Point bonuses now apply to both regular and event queues, and a fix has been applied to award the correct amount of Blood Points during the Blood Fueled event. Killer players using The Unknown will no longer have hallucinations of Survivors in the vicinity of Blood Pumps and Blood Generators, and survivors hit with the Eye of Vecna will no longer have a Blood Can and another item in the same hand after emerging from a locker. The update also removes an invisible Blood Can from the Lery’s Memorial Institute map.

Along with these more timely patches, Update 8.6.1 includes a lot of general bug fixes related to specific characters, perks, maps, loadouts, and the game’s archives. A few of these apply toDead by Daylight’s zombies, fixing problems like becoming stuck after falling from the second floor of the clock tower and having the ability to hit Survivors from lower elevations in the Hawkins Lab tube.
