If the stress of general dystopian life doesn’t get the populace of Night City, then the abundance of cyberware certainly will, and these cyberpsychos have reached their limit inCyberpunk 2077– so it’s time for V to head out into dangerous territories to locate them and subdue them.
There are a dangerous handful of cyberpsychos inCyberpunk 2077that V can find and fight, and while not all of them offer a challenge, there are some that are true threats that shouldn’t be underestimated, and players are going to want to be wellaware of their hostile potentialbefore engaging.
8Cedric Muller
Fight a Shotgun-Wielding Cyberpsycho in On Deaf Ears
Cedric Muller is found in a car park with a pile of dead bodies at his feet – with Cedric being the man who pulled the trigger. While less than a moderate threat upon first meeting, Cedric Muller can prove to be quite a combatant, since it’s hard to take him out during stealth, and his shotgun makes close range a tad difficult.
Cedric Muller may be cyberpsycho, but he has the combat experience to make him dangerous, thanks to the fact that he is, or was, a part of the Red Orcher Nomad clan, and a man who has been subjected to Biotechnica’s twisted and experimental Project Nightingale.
7Russel Greene
Drones, Turrets, and a Cyberpsycho Lurk in the House on a Hill
Paranoia has gotten to Russel Greene, a man who has decided to turn his house into a death trap for all who venture too close. As such, Greene has plenty of defenses for invaders, including turrets, drones, and mines, but these devices would be his undoing as they malfunctioned and killed his wife and son.
With nothing left to lose, Russel defends his property, and fighting him is no easy task since he will use these defenses to aid him in battle. Not only is he going to have turrets to shoot for him, but he can also fight with a Kerenzikov to dodge bullets, making for a hard battle without stealth in mind.
6Matt Liaw
A Marksman Holds Down a Highway in Demons of War
Usually, the only stressful thing about a highway is the fact that traffic can pile up when there is roadworks, but in the case of Matt Liaw, the main concern here is not getting shot in the head by a rogue sniper. Matt Liaw is camped out on an unfinished highway, where he will shoot to kill anyone who dares get too close, meaning players either have to sprint and heal, or stay behind cover and run between reloads.
Without stealth orthe appropriate quickhacks, this Cyberpsycho will certainly use his brilliant aim to rain bullets into V’s chrome in an attempt to flatline them. Luckily, once players do close the gap, there’s only so much a sniper can do against a close-range gun.
5Zion Wylde
A Sharpshooter Holds Down the Badlands in Second Chances
An investigation into the Badlands will see V stumble upon a few fresh corpses, with a trail of blood leading them to an abandoned set of turbines. Yet, it might be too late before V sees the glare of a sniper rifle, and even later still after that first shot is taken, for a Cyberpsycho is watching V from a distance from the top of a turbine’s tower.
V can eitherdrive a cool carand strafe to this location in the middle of an open desert, or risk it all by fighting him at long-range. It’s a tough battle, but it is winnable, especially if players manage to climb the tower itself for a beatdown.
4Zaria Hughes
A Creepy and Bloody Ritual from Maelstrom Ends in More Death
Night City is always dangerous, but that’s especially true during the night. When players manage the courage to head to the abandoned docks area of Watson’s north region, they can find a Maelstrom ritual, where bodies can be found throughout, thoroughly mangled and destroyed. Investigating the area reveals a fresh cyberpsycho, born of this ritual, who emerges from the tub togive V immense nightmares.
Zaria Hughes uses Mantis Blades for attack, and will charge at V with unrelenting speed and aggression, all while she dodges bullets flying at her thanks to her intense speed and use of cyberware that will make this an aggressive melee fight to the death.
3Euralio Alma
An Open Battlefield Against a Mech in The Wasteland
An investigation into bloody prints, footsteps, and corpses will lead players through the sandy Badlands into a small area where a Cyberpsycho has managed to get his hands on a Militech power suit. This suit provides the Cyberpsycho with additional armor and defenses, enabling him to tank shots and strikes, all while dealing some pretty lethal hits and laser shots.
Sure, this Cyberpsycho can be countered with EMP Grenades, Short Circuit quickhacks, and the right mindset during stealth, but if Euralio catches V, then only pain awaits, and the explosive shots of this tyrant andthe armored mech suitwill make for a bullet-heavy time.
2Chase Cloey
The Cyberpsycho in Power Armor is Certainly No Discount Doc
A construction yard might seem like a safe place to work, as it’s free from corporate greed and the gangs of Night City, but in the case of Cole Cloey, it couldn’t be further from the truth. When V visits this area, they are immediately going to be surprised when a bounty hunter lifts up a car to block the shot of a Militech Centaur, only to become hostile against V and the Cyberpsycho, leading to V’s battle against two men.
When the inferior target is taken out, V will have to deal with a Cyberpsycho in a mech suit, providing him with the power bestowed to the laser-gun and heavy armor plating of a Militech Centaur, and since this Cyberpsycho has already been alerted to V, trying to use stealth is near out of the question in this tight squeeze of a battle arena.
1Norio Akuhara
The Phantom of Night City Hunts Mercs and Tyger Claws (make 1st or 2nd)
An experienced fighter whotakes to the streets of Night Cityto kill Tyger Claws, Norio Akuhara’s obsession would become his downfall, as it would consume him into unforgiving and unrelenting cyberpsychosis. This all started with the death of his girlfriend at the hands of the Tyger Claws, but so much death has bound Norio from seeing the difference between friend and foe.
When encountering Norio, he will immediately be hostile, but he will also use invisibility cyberwareand katanasto melee attack V while being unseen. Not only that, but Norio will be fighting against Tyger Claws at the same time, meaning V has to fight both a Cyberpsycho and a Night City gang for a difficult two-on-one.
