The MA70 HB X-MOD2 is one of the more recent X-MOD2 weapons that were released after Phantom Liberty, and even with its more modern approach to its design and stats, it seems inferior to the rest. Like most Light Machine Guns, they’re rather difficult to synergize with a build when not acting as a bullet sponge, so this heavy weapon is better left behind for faster playstyles unless players really like standing still and holding down the trigger.

The Kappa X-MOD2 isn’t themost powerful weapon, but it is a tad interesting. It’s a Smart Pistol that can be used to help with Netrunner builds, and with Cyberdecks, because there’s a benefit there for the Kappa that will see its fully automatic fire rate and its lock-on acquire greater stats. However, the Kappa does suffer since it’s near useless without the right cyberware and without the right Netrunner build, and even with the best cyberware possible, it’s still not going to do all that well.

An improvement over other Pistols, somewhat, the Lexington X-MOD2 comes equipped with superior stats and a nice scope that cannot be removed. With improved handling and reload speed, the Lexington doesn’t have the best damage, but the addition of a headshot damage multiplier and its use of modifications allows players to use this weapon fairly well during stealth builds, and to those who want to take out lesser enemies with speed.

The Guillotine X-MOD2 might be a bit of an agonizing weapon to obtain if players haven’t invested in the Body Attribute at all, but those who do manage to get it will find themselves with an SMG that, while not great, is still better than some other choices. With a large magazine size and an abundance of mods, Guillotine can impress as a potential elemental-damage-making fast-firing gun.

Another one of the X-MOD2 melee weapons is the Claw X-MOD2, a weapon that benefits mostly from its use as a throwable axe rather than against something sharp or blunt to really punish enemies found in Dogtown. With up to two mods and a decent layer of handling, this is an easy weapon to throw, but one without many builds to fit around its design.

While there are plenty of mods to aid the Umbra X-MOD2, it doesn’t perform nearly as well as the other Assault Rifle weapons, even if it has a rate of fire that can rival that of the fastest SMGs in the game. On its own, Umbra X-MOD2 is competent enough, and its generous mod slots allow for a fitting selection of greater damage and bullet penetration.

Modding melee weapons isa lot of fun, and in the case of the Cut-o-Matic X-MOD2, that couldn’t be more apparent. Cut-o-Matic X-MOD2 is a chain blade that roars when equipped, scaring civilians and alerting hostiles immediately. However, with a weapon like this, players are going to want their enemies to know they are coming, for the right modifications will make for a fairer challenge with how fast this weapon hits and how powerful they can be.

The Baseball Bat X-MOD2 is easy to find, and even easier to use, since all players need to do is swing it around so that it violently bashes and bruises their foes. With a generous bleeding chance and armor penetration, the Baseball Bat X-MOD2 can be made to subdue opponents before they realize the blunt force that has impacted them, and that’s without mentioning the beneficial modifications that can be equipped for greater melee variety.

The Kyubi X-MOD2 might not take home the title as theking of the Assault Rifles, but it will do its job as a great soldier among the ranks. The Kyubi X-MOD2 is easy to obtain, which gives it bonus points, but performance-wise is what really matters. Different modifications allow for stealth or loud playstyles, and its generous damage, range, and handling make for a great medium-range weapon.
