After Cronos: The New Dawn, Bloober Team Might Release Another Silent Hill Remake Sooner Rather Than Later
While nothing has been officially confirmed by either Bloober Team or Konami at this time, towards the end of 2024, an insiderleak suggested that remakes ofSilent Hill 1andSH3are in the pipeline. GivenSilent Hill 2 Remake’s reception, it’s a fairly natural assumption that remakes of the first and third entries are at least being considered as next in line to receive the treatment.
Silent Hill fandTownfallare also in development by other studios, and the former has received an official ESRB rating, implying it is closer to release than previously thought.
It’s also known thatBloober Team previously signed a deal with Konamito produce another game based on the latter’s IP. With the two now established as firm partners, it’s not that far of a leap to think that this could be either aSilent 1orSH3remake, and that the project is potentially further along in production than what might normally be the case, as both seek to strike while the iron is hot.
Taking everything of the above together, it could be a good indication that Bloober Team will soon move onto (or possibly already has) anotherSilent Hilltitle. Whether this is one of the aforementioned remakes, or something more unexpected in the series, is currently unknown, but so long asCronos: The New Dawndoesn’t experience any hiccups or delays in its release, it might mean that fans will see anotherSHentry from Bloober much more quickly than expected.
