Summary
Call of Dutyfans want Activision and Treyarch to expand the ever-popular Nuketown map inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6. For several years, the Nuketown map has maintained its scale, despite being in severalCall of Dutytitles over the years and receiving a new 10v10 mode inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6.
The Nuketown map was added toCall of Duty: Black Ops 6on November 1, just one week after the game’s release. In the months following launch, Nuketown 24/7 was made available in various playlist updates, allowing players to enjoy the map to their heart’s content while it’s available in the playlist. After the launch ofCall of Duty: Black Ops 6Season 3, the new Chaos Nuketown map was introduced in the April 14 playlist update as a 10v10 variant of Nuketown 24/7 with increased score and time limits. Chaos Nuketown offered a great opportunity for players with spare double XP tokens in their inventory, since the map’s small scale encourages constant close-range gunfights.
Reddit user Stegosaurus69 and otherCall of Dutyfans in the community would have liked to have seen an expanded version of Nuketown inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6. More specifically,Call of Duty: Black Ops 6players would like to see the other houses and the main road of Nuketown opened up for multiplayer matches. This would give more space for gunfights in Chaos Nuketown matches, especially when it comes to spawn points. Some believe an expanded map would solve the spawn-trapping issues that have plagued Nuketown since its debut in2010’sCall of Duty: Black Ops.
Others would like to see the expanded version and the original Nuketown in separate playlist modes, allowingCall of Duty: Black Ops 6players to choose which Nuketown they would like to play. Some bold players, including Reddit user Refurbished1991, would like the map expanded for a 30v30 Nuketown mode as well, adding another tothe many versions of Nuketown introduced inCall of Dutyover the years.
An expanded version of Nuketown is not confirmed to be in the works, but players will have another new Nuketown mode to look forward to inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6Season 3 Reloaded. The major seasonal update will launch on May 1 and bring Blazetown, a 420-themed variant of Nuketown, alongside the Blaze of Glory event. There will be new unique modes like Joint Operations, a Moshpit-like mode experience where players progress through five different modes all in the same match, with unique modifiers such as increased health, third-person mode, low gravity, and more.
