Treyarch has released a new playlist update forCall of Duty: Black Ops 6featuring the new Chaos Nuketown mode. Chaos Nuketown is a new version of the fan-favorite Nuketown 24/7 mode inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6with some new rules, including an increased score limit.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6Season 3launched on April 2, which was one day earlier than the initial target date of April 3. The update brought several new content additions to the game, including a remastered version of Firing Range, new playlists and other new maps, a range of new weapons, a new Battle Pass, and the “Shattered Veil” Zombies map. Treyarch also updatedCall of Duty: Black Ops 6’sFeatured Playlists in the short weeks following Season 3’s launch. New 24/7 playlists featuring Firing Range, Stakeout, and Nuketown were made available, and this week,Call of Duty: Black Ops 6fans have access to an all-new mode set on Nuketown.
Chaos Nuketown is now available as a new mode inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6with the release of the April 14 multiplayer playlist update. According to Treyarch’s official Twitter account, Chaos Nuketown is a 10v10 mode with increased score and time limits, and the mode is available in both standard and Hardcore variants. Similarly to otherHardcore modes inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6, Hardcore Chaos Nuketown features a vastly reduced HUD and significantly reduced player health.Call of Duty: Black Ops 6players can see the mini-map again on Nuketown if a teammate activates a UAV, however.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Playlist Update Adds New Chaos Nuketown Mode
The new playlist update also gives players access to several modes in the Party Games menu inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6’smultiplayer. Specifically, Party Games now includes the Sharpshooter, Prop Hunt, Gun Game, Infected, and Gunfight playlist modes. No other changes were made with the playlist update, butCall of Duty: Black Ops 6players can expect more updates soon, if Treyarch continues its near-weekly cadence of patches.
The reception to Chaos Nuketown appears to be mixed on Twitter, since there are players who voiced concerns over lag spikes and other technical issues they’ve encountered in the mode thus far. However, there are plenty ofCall of Duty: Black Ops 6players who enjoy the frantic combat and crammed corridors on the map. Chaos Nuketown could also be a great opportunity for players who havedouble XP tokens inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6, since they will be encountering more enemy players than usual in the 10v10 mode.
