1Projection Mirage Team Comp
Magneto + Emma Frost + Scarlet Witch + Psylocke
With Emma Frost and Magneto as Vanguards, this composition relies heavily on Emma’s Mental Projection, which turns Magneto and Psylocke into doppleganger casting pivots. Scarlet Witch’s capability to empower Magneto will no longer be available, though her ultimate pairs incredibly well with Emma Frost’s and Magneto’s, and casting the three of them in sequence guarantees a team wipe. Same withPsylocke’s Dance of The Butterfly, which can completely destroy any remaining foes.
The ability to switch into her Diamond form and turn into a Melee Vanguard grants Emma an extra edge to accompany Psylocke in mid-battle sweeps while Magneto sticks around Scarlet Witch protecting her. Completing this composition with good supports like Jeff or Luna Snow guarantees a certain victory.
2Frosties AoE Team Comp
Luna Snow + Jeff + Namor
Jeff and Luna Snoware two of the best supporters inMarvel Rivalsand thanks to Luna’s Icy Disco team-up ability, Jeff has an extra skill that makes him a crowd control pivot at will. Jeff’s Frozen Spitball creates a small but effective AoE puddle that slows enemies down enough to make Namor chase them and destroy them effectively. Additionally, Jeff can take advantage of Frozen Spitball to control an area and swallow more enemies with his ultimate.
Plus, Luna’s Ultimate also empowers Namor and turns him into a killing machine, making winning matches a breeze. Though the Team Up with Namor is no more, adding a good CC Frontliner like The Thing to the mix is also a good idea, since he can also accompany Namor as a frontliner or alternate to cover the backlines while empowered by Luna’s ultimate.
3Full Assault Team Comp
Rocket Raccoon + Winter Soldier + Punisher + Captain America
Thoughgreatly nerfed, Rocket Raccoonis still one of the most powerful supports in the game. His Team Up ability grants Winter Soldier and Punisher Infinite Ammo and Fire Rate. Punisher is already overpowered, when played side-by-side with Rocket and Winter Soldier, he becomes a menace, since Bucky can act as a mid range/close range bruiser at will, freeing Castle from. That makes him the best partner to watch Frank from sideliners like Magik and Psylocke.
Having Captain America with his new Team Comp (Stars Alligned) will add a Jumping Attack to Bucky’s repertoire. Adding Mantis as pivotal support and Spiderman for fast sweeps will result in a versatile team with considerable mobility and coverage. Picking Jeff instead of Mantis could be an alternative, but it would reduce their capacity for holding the backline, which is one of the main downsides of this composition.
4Fantastic Four
Human Torch + Mr. Fantastic + Invisible Woman + The Thing
Ever since the Fantastic Four entered theMarvel Rivalsroster, they have been part of most team compositions, thanks to the Invisible Woman’s Team Up ability that powers up the whole team with damage resistance and health regeneration (per damage taken). This Team Composition is a winning formula, with The Thing and Mr. Fantastic leading the charge, and the Storm siblings supporting and attacking from mid range.
It seems like this Team Comp is here to stay, and Season 2 won’t change it too much. Only a small adjustment to Human Torch who is receiving a slight buff to all his abilities, since the devs felt he was a little bit too weak. On the other hand, Mr. Fantastic is receiving an uber buff that basically turns him into a buffer-tank like Hulk. In other words, there was never a better moment to play Fantastic Four as a team. Add Luna Snow and Jeff to the comp, and it’s game over for every possible rival team.
5Gamma Goes Boom Team Comp
Namor + Hulk + Iron Man
With the elimination of Doctor Strange as part of the original Gamma Charge Team Up, now Hulk, Namor, and Iron Man can benefit from being in the same team by sharinga connection with the Emerald Giant. Namor can now empower his Aquatic Dominion with Gamma Energy, and the octopus will shoot a tracing beam that damages foes constantly and at a considerable range. On the other hand, the bonuses for Iron Man and Hulk remain mostly untouched.
This composition is quite formidabble against flying opponents, since Namor turrets will prioritize these targets and Iron Man receives a great enhancement to his attack power, making him the most dangerous flying character in the game. Since flying heroes are a rising Meta. But watch out for Human Torch, as he has been greatly boosted and Iron Man will have trouble dealing with him.
6Walking Disaster Team Comp
Jeff + Groot + Rocket Raccoon + Luna Snow + Punisher + The Thing
There are several synergies in this Team Composition that can become quite powerful, for starters, using the Jeff+Luna Snow duo guarantees access to healing and CC all in the same package. The Thing’s bulkiness andGroot’s resilience and frontline advantage, as well as their CC package which includes the powerful Strangling Prison + Clobbering Time combo, is a all-in-one tank control unit that can rotate to protect the core of the team.
To add insult to injury (for the enemy team) Rocket can ride Groot and rotate with Jeff to do the same, which means they will be most of the time protected by their Team Up damage reduction. On the other hand, Punisher has access to Rocket’s ammo packages which grant him infinite ammo and fire speed. A complete walking disaster that guarantees team sweeps by the bunch, and will help players win Convoy matches.
