Elsewhere, Vasquez admits to Maddie that she should have reported Albert as soon as she had suspicions about his crimes, and she returns to work to do just that. Maddie reassures her she’s doing the right thing. Elsewhere, the unknown DNA found on the bullets is reported to Diego Para’s defense lawyer, and while it’s good news for his client, Chandler reminds him that he still confessed to multiple armed robberies, and suggests Para work with the DA’s office to help find the real killer.

Bosch and Perry Lopez (Miles Gaston Villanueva) investigate a company called United Chemical, who might hold the key to the drugs involved in the case Robertson was working on. They have an office in Lancaster where Juando’s cheap hotel is located. Bosch and Lopez visit Lancaster’s Sheriff’s Deputy Jack Garrity (Chris Bauer) and quiz him about the Juando case and the links to United Chemical. Garrity meets with Humberto Zorrillo and tells him Bosch and Lopez are onto them, but they haven’t found anything so far. Garrity sneakily puts a tracker on Zorrillo’s car just before he leaves. Later on, he calls RHD captain Rick Seals to tell him Lopez has been sniffing around the case with Bosch. Elsewhere, Bosch enlists the help of Ken Gurbizs on the Gallagher murder case, and hands him the file on a former spy who might have links to it. Bosch asks him if he’s up for a black ops-style mission.
