Summary
Bosch: Legacy’s third and final season was full of action and dramatic plot twists, withHarry Bosch investigating the murder of a young family, while dealing with the re-emergence of arch nemesis, Preston Borders, and the murder of Jimmy Robertson.Elsewhere, Maddie and Vasquez had a big case involving a series of follow home robberies, Honey Chandler became the District Attorney of Los Angeles, and Renee Ballard joined forces with Bosch to solve a cold case.
Bosch: Legacy’s third season wasn’t supposed to be the end of the road for Harry Bosch, with the creative team making plans for apotential fourth season.However, Amazon canceled it back in September 2024, and it led to a fan uprising with the launch of the SaveBosch: Legacypetition, which has gained over 33,000 signatures.
How Does Bosch: Legacy Season 3 End?
Harry Bosch enlists the help of his ex-Afghanistan special forces comrade, Ken Gerbizs, to help him track down Finbar McShane in Mexico, with Maurice ‘Mo’ Bassi also along for the ride. They find McShane, and when he taunts them about murdering the Gallagher family, Gerbizs shoots him in the head. When Bosch returns to Los Angeles, he is confronted by Maddie, who wants to know if he crossed a line.

Elsewhere, Bosch captures Jack Garrity and hands him over to District Attorney, Honey Chandler, to be prosecuted for his involvement in Jimmy Robertson’s murder, and Zorrillo is also located and arrested. InBosch: Legacy’sfinal episode, RHD detective,Renee Ballard, turns up at Harry Bosch’s office as she thinks he’s stolen The Flower Girls cold case murder files. The pair of relentless detectives join forces to investigate the case which has haunted Bosch for years, and they track down the culprit, a firefighter called Jeremy McKee. The series ends with Bosch and Ballard taking a walk, and agreeing to work together again some day.

Bosch: Legacy’s final seasonkicks off with aneight-month time jump, after the dramatic cliffhanger which saw Maddie (Madison Lintz) confronting Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) over his potential involvement inKurt Dockweiler’s murder.A chief special off the books investigation is launched into Dockweiler’s murder, and Robbery Homicide detective, Jimmy Robertson (Paul Calderon), and his up-and-coming partner, Perry Lopez (Miles Gaston Villaneuva), are on the case. They visit Preston Borders (Chris Browning) in Wasco St Prison, and he insists on speaking to the DA to make a deal in exchange for information. Turns out, Borders has plotted a dramatic escape, which ends in a shootout. Bosch’s life is saved by Jimmy Robertson, who shoots Borders dead. Bosch must also contend with the appearance of Frank Sheehan (Jamie McShane), who tries to assassinate District Attorney candidate, Honey Chandler (Mimi Rogers). Bosch tracks Sheehan down, and his former colleague commits suicide.
Elsewhere,Harry Bosch takes on the case of the missing Gallagher family, which leads him to a man called Finbar McShane (Michael Reilly Burke), who was a business associate of the father.Bosch balances this case with his own investigation into the murder of Jimmy Robertson, who was assassinated by cartel villain, Humberto Zorrillo (Manuel Ariza), because he’d uncovered a conspiracy involving a company called United Chemical and links to fetanyl and a drug known asThe Black Ice. Meanwhile, Maddie Bosch (Madison Lintz) and Reina Vasquez (Denise G. Sanchez) investigate a series of follow home robberies in a posh neighborhood, and it leads them to three young criminals: Nestor Gomez (Jesse Gallegos), Victoria Hernandez (Andrea Cortes) and her boyfriend, Albert Torres (Tommy Martinez), who, it turns out, is Vasquez’s nephew, which leads to some difficult decisions for the LAPD cop.
