How Sarada Awakened Her Mangekyo Sharingan
Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan awakeningwas one of the most heavily anticipated moments in the entire story. This moment first came before the timeskip of the story, right when Kawaki decided to launch his attack against those of Konoha. Kawaki sealed away the Seventh Hokage, and right after that, fans saw him attempt to kill Boruto Uzumaki. Thanks to Omnipotence, Kawaki made it seem as if Boruto Uzumaki had killed the Seventh Hokage, and so, the entire village was hunting Boruto as well.

The shock that resulted from hearing about the death of the Seventh Hokage, coupled with the fear evoked by the fact that Boruto was moments away from death, led to the awakening of Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan. At the time, however, Sarada Uchiha was not aware of the fact that she had tapped into this power.
Immediately upon awakening this power, Sarada begged Sasuke Uchiha to help Boruto and gave him a reminder that they’re all being tricked. It is because of her Mangekyo Sharingan that Sasuke eventually listened to her and escaped the village with Boruto Uzumaki.

It goes without sayingthat Sarada Uchiha is destined to be one of the strongest ninjasin history. Fans already know that she had limitless potential, but for her to step out and actually show her newfound powers is always going to be something very special. In the previous chapter ofBoruto, Sarada did just that.

Fans saw her tap into the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan for the sake of Boruto Uzumaki, and she immediately used its powers to cast a black hole that sucked in all the Iron Sand that Ryu was using. Shockingly enough, this was only a small glimpse of what Sarada Uchiha could do with her Mangekyo Sharingan.
In the official preview forBoruto: Two Blue Vortexchapter 21, fans see Sasuke Uchiha talk about Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan. According to him, Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan awakening was a significant event and means that something sinister is happening behind the scenes. His daughter told him that they were all being tricked in regards to Boruto Uzumaki being labeled as the killer of the Seventh Hokage. For Sasuke,Sarada awakening her Mangekyo Sharinganis enough of a reason to fully trust her.
He also goes on to state that Sarada’s eyes will be a great power that will fight the calamity that the world is facing. In other words, Sarada’s powers are great enough to help counter the threat of Kawaki and Omnipotence. As fans know, Omnipotence changed the whole world, which means thatSarada Uchiha has the power to change the world itselfwith her Mangekyo Sharingan, at least that’s what Sasuke believes.
