Blue Princeis a challenging puzzle game with a massive amount of content. In order to explore not only the entire house but also the whole map, you will need to connect rooms, run power across tiles, unlock new floorplans, and a lot more.
One of the things you may be wondering about is the Pump Room inBlue Prince. It’s a little challenging to navigate all the different levers, buttons, and dials in this room; if you need a hand with this one, you can find all the info you need below.
How to Unlock the Pump Room
In order to unlock the Pump Roomfloor plan inBlue Prince, you will first need to find the Pool. The Pool is a blue room with three doors, and it contains a pool that takes up most of its interior; it adds the Pump Room, the Sauna, and the Locker Room to the pool of possible rooms you can draft. As you may have guessed, you can empty the pool of all its water if you can figure out how to work the pumps.
How to Use the Pump Room in Blue Prince
The best way to learn how to work the pumps in the Pump Room is by getting the manual from the Library. This manual breaks down how all the different pieces work together. This book, which is shown in the screenshot below, along with the pump diagram in the Pump Room itself, will make it easy to get all the pumps working properly.
The schematic on the wall of the Pump Room gives you the layout of the pipes. The locations of the pipes correspond with the order of the buttons on the control panel and the order of the pipes on the diagram located on the wall of the Pump Room.

If you want to empty the Fountain aftermaking a wish in Blue Prince, you will need to fill all the other rooms with water, then empty the rest of the water in it into one of the tanks. You can move water between tanks by filling one of the water sources that have access to both tanks 1 and 2. There is a Pump 2 Switch to switch which tank it will flow into and from behind the tanks.
How to Empty the Reservoir in Blue Prince
If you have been messing with the different pumps for a while, you know that there are not enough spaces for water in all the other water sources and the two tanks to completely empty the Reservoir. To explore the bottom of the Reservoir requires that you get the Reserve tank on the other side of the Pump Room up and running. This means you need to bring power to the Pump Room via a power source: theBoiler Room inBlue Prince.
There are many floorplan tiles that have the ability to connect sources of power to things that need it, including the Archive, the Gym, the Lab, and others. If you turn the power on in the Boiler Room before drafting out of its doors, you will see which tiles will carry power for you. Once it is connected, you will have access to some new buttons inside the Pump Room that will allow you to empty tank 1 or tank 2 into the reserve tank on the other side of the room.
