Step 1: Turn on Pack-a-Punch to Access the Mainframe Chamber

In order to begin the quest to get the free Ray Gun Mk2, players will need to activate the Pack-a-Punch room located in the underground Mainframe Chamber. This is a relatively simple process that can be followed below:

Grab the Fuse from the Maintenance Worker on the southeast corner of the Library’s second floor.

Shoot or melee Richtofen’s computer in the Director’s Quarters for the Circuit Board.

Repair the elevator opposite the Rear Patio from behind the elevator, then descend the grapple point to access the Mainframe Chamber.

Step 2: Kill the Lab Technician Zombie for the Floppy Disk

Once players have access to the Mainframe Chamber, they will need to continue playing through the rounds as normal until they reach Round 10. InRound 10, a Lab Technician will spawn in the Mainframe Chamber, and players can venture down here to find and kill this zombie, noted by its unique name and the glowing purple eyes. Once killed, this zombie drops a Floppy Disk that can be picked up and placed into the inventory of players.

Step 3: Interact with the Fax Machine in the East Foyer

With the Floppy Disk acquired, head back upstairs andgo into the East Foyer. Once inside, face the west wall tofind a fax machine on a desk, noted by the fact that above it is a white blueprint. Players need to hold the interact button on the fax machine, and then interact with it again to confirm. They will know that they’ve done this correctly as Vermin will spawn, and players just need to kill them and wait for the fax machine to finish printing out a letter.

Once the fax machine has finished printing, players will need to interact with it so that they can read what it says, and they are looking for a word in all capital letters. For instance, in this game, this was our code:

Therefore, the code to note is W-O-R-M.

Step 4: Find Your Code in the Nursery

Once players have their code from the fax machine, head into the Nursery, where players will find a blackboard that has an alphabet, a clock, and a bunch of random letters on it. These random letters actually mean something, and the translations can be found below:

Players will need to find each letter in their code within the jumbled sequence found on the board, so if their code is WORM, then they need to find where ‘W’ is and count the letters that are involved with ‘W’. For instance, the bottom right of the blackboard has ‘W’ with a total of 7 letters, so the first letter of the code ‘WORM’ is 7. Following this pattern, players will be able totranslate their code to: 7-6-7-1.

There are more codes than just WORM, but above is a simple way to translate the code word into a code of numbers that are used on the next step.

Step 5: Free the Doppelghast and Kill it for the Severed Arm

Now that players have translated their code word into a set of four numbers, they can head down into the Mainframe Chamber, through to the Service Tunnel, where there is a locked room with a red Doppelghast behind it. For this objective, players must interact with the panel on the right of the door, where they can then type in their code (our code was W-O-R-M, so the numbers were 7-6-7-1). Once the final number has been entered, the doors will open, and the Doppelghast will jump out with a few Toxic Zombies.

TheDoppelghast is pretty deadly, so players will want to at least have decent weapons to fight it, and most importantly, the Light Mend Ammo Mod for 500 Salvage which is the Doppelghast’s weakness. Since this is an Elite variant of the Doppelghast, it has a lot more health, but after killing it, simply pick up the Severed Arm that drops from its corpse.

Step 6: Access the Armory and Claim the Ray Gun Mark 2

With the Severed Arm now acquired, head through the Service Tunnel into the Supply Depot, where on the right of the room is a JANUS door that can be interacted with to enter the Armory. Inside the Armory, players have 60 seconds of freedom from zombies, and on the south wall, they can find a locked Ray Gun Mk2. Interacting with the panel on the right of the Ray Gun Mk2 will see the Severed Arm placed onto it, and the glass of the display case will open so that players can now claim their free Ray Gun Mark 2.

The Ray Gun Mark 2 will become available in all Black Ops 6 Zombies maps through the Mystery Box at a later date.

Is the Ray Gun Mk2 Any Good in Black Ops 6 Zombies?

The Ray Gun Mark 2 is easily one of the best Wonder Weapons featured in Black Ops 6 Zombies. While other Wonder Weapons have instant-kill potential, the Ray Gun Mk2 becomes extremely reliable with both its unique upgrades and its synergy with perk-a-colas. With Speed Cola and Double Tap Root Beer, the Ray Gun Mk2 becomes an unstoppable three-round burst gun of death, where it fires so quickly and so deadly that players will feel invincible.

The Ray Gun Mark 2 has 21 bullets in a magazine and is fired in three-round bursts, with no splash damage to hurt the player. Even better than other Wonder Weapons is that the Ray Gun Mk2 can be Pack-a-Punched three times to make it even stronger than before, with 42 bullets in a magazine.
