As part ofthe 90s 3D platforming era,Glovercarved out a spot in the genre that many have remembered fondly. The game let players take control of the titular glove and tasked them with various platforming segments, incorporating actions such as dribbling and rolling a ball. Given its long-lasting appeal, the game has received ports to newer systems. Following a Steam version in 2022, the game recently launched on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Now, QUByte Interactive and Bleem have announced that more support forGloveron modern systemsis coming soon. Via an April 23 update, the developer will make some significant improvements to the modern console and PC ports. Among the changes, some achievements are getting tweaks, including fixed descriptions and unlock conditions. In addition, visual enhancements are being made. In particular, the patch notes revealed changes to textures, visual effects, colors, lighting, and shadows to improve the look of the game.
Beyond these visual changes, the patch will make adjustments to the bonus stage in Prehistoric World. According to the developer, the position of Garibs has been adjusted for “smoother collection.” Several other bugs are being addressed in the update, such as those related to the Fortress of Fear, Atlantis, and the Carnival Boss, which prevent progression. While the update on consoles is being handled by QUByte Interactive, the same update will come to thePC port ofGlovervia Piko Interactive on Steam. However, QUByte Interactive is handling it on Xsolla.
In addition, QUByte Interactive is using the April 23 patch as an opportunity to attract potential players. According to the developer,Glovercan be purchased for 10% off on all consoles ahead of the update. However, it is worth noting that the game is still listed for its regular price on the Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo digital stores at the time of writing, so it is unclear when this deal will become available.
