Auto Regeneration
While it’s tempting to prioritize making RoboCop as damage-resistant as possible, the Vitality skill should be focused on later in the game. In the early missions, he won’t have much trouble dealing with the low-level street punks he encounters. Additionally, plenty of OCP Healing Charges are scattered around that can be used when facing large groups of enemies, which becomes challenging.
However, in the later chapters of the story, upgrading RoboCop’s Vitality skill becomes invaluable. With the first and second perks, players can recharge his health at fuse boxes, and with the third perk unlocked, they can automatically recharge 75 percent of his health.
Deflect
Similar to the Vitality skill, RoboCop’s Armor skill should be upgraded later in the game when he faces more formidable enemies. Enhancing the Armor skill tree temporarily reduces the damage he takes during combat.
However, there is a cooldown mechanic in place to prevent players from overusing these perks. Early missions won’t pose much of a challenge, but players should be mindful of the difficulty that arises later. Additionally, unlocking the third Deflection perk allows regular bullets to ricochet off RoboCop’s armor, making players feel like an unstoppable cyborg.
Enhanced Shockwave
RoboCop starts the game feeling like a tank when fighting humans and street-level villains. It is tempting to start making RoboCop even more powerful, but the skill points are best invested elsewhere for the early game sections. It is better to focus on the Combat skill tree when RoboCop must deal with robotic enemies that take more than one shot to take down.
Unlocking the third perk gives RoboCop the Shockwave attack, which can kill multiple nearby enemies at once. Moreover, investing in the second Combat perk will automatically reload all ofRoboCop’s gunswith one punch.
Enhanced Slow Motion
RoboCop’s Focus ability is a skill that enables him to slow down time, allowing him to eliminate his enemies in a dramatic and bloody manner. This combat-based skill is particularly effective for taking down multiple adversaries simultaneously, especially when RoboCop is faced with a large number of villains. While it’s a skill that will become extremely useful later in the game, don’t worry too much about unlocking it in the early stages.
The most challenging trophies/achievements inRoboCop: Rogue Cityare related to scoring 250 points in the shooting range at the police station. The third perk increases the duration of the slow-motion mechanic upon successfully hitting the targets, making it less challenging to get the “There Can Be Only One” trophy/achievement, where RoboCop must defeat five waves of enemies in less than ten minutes.
Enhanced Dash
RoboCop’s Engineering skills enable him to unlock OCP chests that contain valuable rewards and to hack enemy turrets. He won’t encounter these turrets until the fourteenth mission, titled “Cyber Trail,” but he will earn the “May Be Used Against You"trophy/achievementfor doing so.
Additionally, unlocking the Engineering skill grants RoboCop the Dash ability, which allows him to quickly close the distance to enemies or escape when he is in trouble. Combining the Dash with the grab action is one of the fastest and most satisfying ways to defeat opponents.
Impact
There’s an exploration and RPG aspect toRoboCop: Rogue City, and enhancing the roboticcop’s rapportwith the public to lower the perception of him being a cold-blooded machine is vital to gaining more insight and dialogue options. These features are unlocked with RoboCop’sPsychologyskill tree.
The Enhanced Public Trust perk allows RoboCop to double his public trust points. Moreover, it will provide some help for more empathetic dialogue choices for RoboCop when dealing with crimes around the city.
Enhanced Learning
The Deduction skill is arguably RoboCop’s most useful ability to unlock as early as possible. Upon unlocking it, RoboCop will gain an extra 15 percent experience from reading notes. The Enhanced Scanning perk lets players detect more helpful information, such as safe combinations and hidden rooms.
The Enhanced Map perk marks the location of valuable items on the map, making them easier to find in large, open areas. Finally, the Enhanced Learning perk provides RoboCop with another 30 percent more experience points, allowing him to level up his other skills more effectively for the later game missions.
