With names such as Willpower and Luck, understanding the Attributes inOblivion: Remasteredcan be confusing at first, especially with so much going on.Attributes are the main stats inOblivion: Remasteredand can determine how much Health a character has, how much damage they deal, and their conversation skills, for example. They can be seen in the second tab of the Character menu.
Attribute values in green or red mean they are temporarily buffed or weakened.
All Attributes In Oblivion Remastered
There are8 Attributes inOblivion: Remastered, with these typically ranging from0 to 100, although certain effects can temporarily push these beyond 100.
Attributes are determined bya number of factors, such asRace, Birthsigns, and Class.Upon leveling up, players will also be able tospend 12 Attribute pointswhere they like.
It appears that each Attribute no longer impacts 3 skills, as was the case in the original game. Nonetheless, skills are still affected indirectly by Attributes.
Strength
The main benefit ofStrengthinOblivionis thatmelee attacks will deal more damage. This includes Longswords, Claymores, Maces, War-Axes, Warhammers, and fists. Players will also be able tocarry more, and will see theirHP increase slightly, making them harder to kill.
Intelligence
Byhaving more Magicka, players can not onlycast more spells, butmore powerful ones, which cost high amounts of Magicka.
Willpower
With increased Magicka regen,spellcasters will fare better in longer fights, and with vastly more Fatigue they canperform more physical actionsbefore running out of stamina.
Agility
For those who don’t want torun out of Fatigue while fighting, dodging, and running, points into Agility will help. It is also essential for those usinglight melee weapons and bowsas it determines their damage.
Speed
Beyond being able towalk, run, and sprint faster, players will also be able toswim fasterwith a higher Speed stat.
Endurance
Essential forsurviving combat, Endurance has the added bonus of determining howmuch your Health increases by when leveling up.
Personality
Personality helps withall aspects of conversation. Characters who look favorably on you will be more likely todivulge informationand offerbetter deals.
Luck
Affects all yourSkills, either increasing or decreasingthem. Above 50 Luck events will be more likely to go in your favor, whereasbelow 50 Luck, favor will be against you.
All Vitals In Oblivion Remastered
Vitals inOblivion: Remasteredare fairly straightforward stats that havemaximum levels and regeneration rates. They are determined by Attributes as well as otherpassive effects such as Birthsigns.
Health
Healthis depicted by thered bar. Maximum Health can be increased, and characters willheal over time, or they can useregenerative spells and potions.
Magicka
Magickais depicted by theblue bar. It is essentiallymana for casting spells. It regenerates naturally. Powerful spells requirelarge amounts of Magicka.
Fatigue
Fatigueis depicted by thegreen bar. It is essentiallystaminaand is used up when performingphysical actionssuch as attacking and sprinting.
Encumbrance
WhileEncumbrance isn’t a Vital, it’s an important stat inOblivion: Remastered, as it determineshow much can be carried.
