Among the highlights of this free content update is New Game Plus, a much-requested feature by the community. According to the developer, the mode does more than scale up enemy stats. Instead, New Game Plus forAnother Crab’s Treasurewill feature new moves for bosses and new items. In addition, the developer has “remixed almost every enemy encounter in the game.” Players will be able to check out New Game Plus on Xbox, PS5, and PC starting on April 21, with the developer noting the Switch version will receive the update “soon after.”

What’s Coming in the Year of the Crab Update for Another Crab’s Treasure?

Beyond New Game Plus, the Year of the Crab update will introduce other content, including new costumes that dress Kril up as a caveman, wizard, and more. The game is also getting a Boss Rush mode, allowing players to run through the gauntlet of challenging in-game foes. The trailer for the update even revealed a brand-new boss is coming to the game. Besides this, players will be able to refightbosses inAnother Crab’s Treasurethrough Combat Memories, check out a Museum Bestiary, and earn new Trophies and Achievements.

As if this free content update was not enough,Another Crab’s Treasureis getting a physical release in 2025. Working in conjunction with iam8bit, Aggro Crab will release physical versions of the game for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
