This would allow the season todive into horror tropes found in popular supernatural moviessuch asPoltergeist,The Exorcist,Hereditary,Insidious,andthe Blumhouse horror franchiseParanormal Activity. Some of the most memorable tropes includeI See Dead People, Whispering Ghosts, and The Mirror Shows You Your True Self. It would be fun to see a character who has a connection to the supernatural and who realizes there are spirits at the bed and breakfast. Maybe they could be played bya returning cast member such as Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, or Lily Rabe.
I loveAmerican Horror Storybecause while some characters are obviously dark and violent villains, others are more relatable. This was particularly true in the first season as Tate Landgon (Evan Peters) was creepy from the start, but Violet Harmon (Taissa Farmiga) was much more likable. I think that balance makes it an especially well-crafted series. I hope thatAmerican Horror Storyseason 13 has some characters who fans can root for easily while also diving intosupernatural elements such as terrifying ghosts hanging around the bed and breakfast, demons showing up in the mirror, lights flicking on and off, and characters having strange dreams.
