When it comes to meals inMonster Hunter Wilds,the type of food players eat can make a big difference. Each type of ingredient offers a different type of buff that can greatly affect how certain playstyles feel and how effective players can be overall.
There are quite a few types of ingredients in the game, and if you’re looking to fit in a few extra skills for yourMH Wildsbuilds, then you can choose to eat for them instead. Here are all the food buffs in the games so far.
All Food and Meal Skills in Monster Hunter Wilds
Players have access to a variety of food and ingredient combos that they can cook on-demand at base or with their portable barbecue grill, and if you have some spare Meal Vouchers, you’re able to head on over to the Grand Hub and request food from there too.
Some skills are guaranteed to activate after eating a meal, while others only have a small chance of triggering after eating certain meals or ingredients.
Caprice Hi
Airy Egg/Suja Cuisine
Repeatedly activates a large, temporary attack boost at random intervals during a hunt.
Capture Pro
Sild Cuisine
Increases the number of rewards you receive after capturing a monster.
Exploiter
Suja Cuisine
Gives you a chance to get more rewards after breaking Wounds.
Gatherer
Truffle du Conga
Occasionally increases the amount of materials you get from Gathering Points.
Insurance
Any Village Cuisine
Prevents the first faint of a hunt from decreasing rewards and total faint count.
Medic
Eastern Honey
Increases the amount of health recovered when healing, similar to Recovery Up.
Moxie Hi
Specialty Sild Garlic/Sild Cuisine
Provides one-shot protection while your health is above a certain threshold (Health threshold is more forgiving than Moxie Lo).
Moxie Lo
Sild Garlic
Provides one-shot protection while your health is above a certain threshold
Sizzling
Monster Chili
Nullifies the effects of hot and cold weather while granting bonus defense when in extreme climates.
Tumbler Hi
Turbid Shrimp/Azuz Cuisine
Extends the invulnerability period of dodge rolls; similar to Evade Window 2.
Mud Shrimp
Extends dodge invulnerability frames; similart o Evade Window 1.
Some food skills that overlapwith armor skillswill stack their effects on top of each other. For example, if you have Constitution 3 and eat for Black Belt Hi, it will be the same as having Constitution 5.
Nullifies weak knockdown effects.
Break-time
Using the Kick Back gesture now grants a temporary attack boost.
Increases your Palico’s attack and defense.
Trainer
Increases Palico XP gains.
UnlikepreviousMonster Huntergames, fainting will no longer clear your food buffs (with a few exceptions). However, do pay your food buff timer attention, as they only last for 50 minutes at most.
