Chroma Elixirs are one of the ways by which players can heal their party members inClair Obscur: Expedition 33, and they will start the game with one of them. That said, players can increase the number of Chroma Elixirs that they can carry by finding Chroma Elixir Shards. Indeed, each Chroma Elixir Shard increases a player’s Chroma Elixir capacity inClair Obscur: Expedition 33by one, and this guide details the locations of all of them.
Players will have the opportunity to collect the Chroma Elixir Shards again in NG+, allowing them to continue increasing their Chroma Elixir capacity.
All Chroma Elixir Shard Locations in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Chroma Elixir Shard #1
Players will encounter their first Paint Cage as they follow the critical path from the entrance toFlying Waters. After using Free Aim to shoot the cage’s three locks, the container will disappear and reveal a Chroma Elixir Shard.
Chroma Elixir Shard #2
Players who follow the critical path from theAncient Sanctuary’s Sanctuary Maze expedition flag will ultimately reach an area with adomed buildingand a Robust Sakapatate. There is a path on the far side of this area that leads to an alcove in whichJournal 63can be found. This alcove is also home to three Paint Cage locks, two on the rocks that form the perimeter and one on the ground near some crates, which players should destroy.
Once a player has broken all three locks, they should take these actions to reach the Chroma Elixir Shard that was held in a Paint Cage:

The Stone Wave Cliffs Cave is an optional map east of the Stone Wave Cliffs. After using thesecond grapple pointand crossing the narrow bridge, players should head right, crawl through the tunnel, and ascend the gold thread. Players should then use their elevated position to shoot three Paint Cage locks and reveal the Chroma Elixir Shard.

From the Forgotten Battlefield’s Vanguard Point expedition flag, players should descend the nearby cannon and follow the path forward to reach theFading Woman. After passing that NPC,Clair Obscur: Expedition 33playersshould go right at the fork and look into the first alcove on their left to find a Paint Cage that holds a Chroma Elixir Shard. How to Use & Refill Chroma Elixirs in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Players can use Chroma Elixirs toheal all their party members inClair Obscur: Expedition 33when they are out of combat. To do that, players should open the Expedition Menu and press the input that appears below the Chroma Elixirs in the bottom-right corner of the screen. This action will expend one Chroma Elixir charge, and players can replenish all their charges by resting at any expedition flag.
