At launch, Season 3 introduced just one returningBlack Opsmap forBlack Ops 6: a remastered version of Firing Range. Most of the remaining content includes either brand-new additions orModern Warfare 2019weapons. However, theBlack OpsTribute Eventleans heavily into bringing backBlack Opsfeatures, featuring the Nail Gun, the Death Machine Scorestreak, along with exclusive rewards like the JohnBlack OpsOperator Skin. How Does The Black Ops Tribute Event Work?
Following the trend ofpast events inBlack Ops 6andWarzone, theBlack OpsTribute Event gives players the chance toearn a range of free rewards by hitting specific XP milestones.To unlock these rewards, players simply need to earn XP by playing any mode inBlack Ops 6orWarzone.
This allows players to snag free cosmetics, Perks, and a new weapon simply by playing passively. However, it’s worth noting thatsome milestone rewards are exclusive toBlack Ops 6owners, meaningWarzone-only players may miss out on certain cosmetics and items.

How To Unlock The John Black Ops Operator In Black Ops 6 & Warzone
The JohnBlack OpsOperator is one of two Mastery Rewards available during theBlack OpsTribute Event. To unlock it, players mustearn all previous event rewards by accumulating 617,000 XPthroughout the event’s duration. However, the JohnBlack OpsOperator isexclusive toCall of Duty: Black Ops 6owners, meaning players who only ownWarzonewill not be able to unlock it.
This Operator can alsoonly be earned during theBlack OpsTribute Event’s runtime, and once the event ends, it’s unlikely to return. After unlocking the JohnBlack OpsOperator, players can use it inBlack Ops 6Multiplayer, Zombies, andWarzone.
TheBlack OpsTribute Event begins on April 17 at 10 AM PT andwill run until May 1 at 10 AM PT.Once the event concludes, rewards such as the Nail Gun, Death Machine, 10mm Auto 30-Round Mags for the C9, and the Close Shave Perk will beadded to the Armory inBlack Ops 6for players who didn’t unlock them during the event. The Thermite, however, is expected to be available in the Armory forWarzonefor those who missed it.
