Crossover content has become a staple inFortnite, as the massive multiplayer game has had collaborations with everything fromStar Warsto the WWE to Billie Eilish. While many ofFortnite’s collabs have revolved around American media franchises, anime has also proven to be a popular well for crossover content. Ever since its first anime collab withNaruto,Fortnitehas partnered with iconic series likeDragon Ball,My Hero Academia,Attack on Titan,Jujutsu Kaisen, andCowboy Bebop.

According to recent leaks, the next anime to receive theFortnitetreatment will supposedly beSolo Leveling.Solo Leveling—based on the manhwa of the same name— kicked off its first season at the start of last year and quickly became one of the most popular and best-rated anime on Crunchyroll. WhileSolo Levelingisn’t a tenured series, its success in the past year certainly warrants a crossover. However, onceFortniteis done with itsSolo Levelingcollab, the following series would be ideal candidates for the game’s next anime crossover.

Denji of Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man

With one member of theDark Trio of Animealready represented inFortnitethanks to itsJujutsu Kaisencollab,Chainsaw Manseems primed for aFortnitedebut. Its first season was critically well-received, and theChainsaw Manmanga continues to be one ofShonen Jump’s most popular series. 2025 would also be great timing for a collab, asChainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Archits theaters this September.

AChainsaw Mancrossover would be the perfect excuse to bring a revamped version oflast year’s chainsaw itemto Battle Royale, and it would also open the door for some great cosmetics. Denji, Power, Aki, and potentially even Makima could be skins. The Denji skin could have a second style that lets him transform into Chainsaw Man, and he could have his duel chainsaw arms as harvesting tools. Pochita would be an adorable back bling, and Denji could surf into battle on a Beam glider. IfFortnitewanted to bring the collab to its other modes, “Kick Back” would be a must-have jam track for any fans of the series.

Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

WhenFortnitecollaborated withCyberpunk 2077last season, fans were excited to seeV and Johnny Silverhandenter the game. However, many were bummed to see that there wasn’t a single cosmetic based onCyberpunk: Edgerunners. Netflix’s anime adaptation introduced many fans to the world ofCyberpunkand was such a hit that it won the Anime of the Year award at Crunchyroll’s 2023 Anime Awards.

David, Lucy, Rebecca, and Adam Smasher each have great character designs that would lend themselves well toFortniteskins. For the rest of the set,Fortnitecould throw in aSandevistanbackbling, a monowire harvesting tool, and a gun skin inspired by Rebecca’s weapons. This collab has the potential for some fun items whose cell-shaded style would stand apart from the otherCyberpunkcosmetics that are already in the game.

tanjiro water breathing with fire

Demon Slayer

This chapter ofFortnitestarted off with a Japanese-inspired season that gave players a variety of katana-inspired weapons to use against a group of demons that had staked a claim on the island. If this wasn’t already the perfect set-up for aDemon Slayercollab, prominent leakers in the community piled on withrumors about a supposed crossoverthat would occur partway through the season. Unfortunately, the season came and went without a singleDemon Slayeritem making it into the game. WhileFortnitemissed the opportunity to add theDemon Slayercast in the demon hunting season, they should still prioritize a crossover with this incredibly popular anime in the future.

Demon Slayerhas so many unique character designs that could make for greatFortniteskins. Tanjiro and Nezuko are easy picks, but Zenitsu, Inosuke, or Muzan could also make the cut. Many of these characters have weapons that could become harvesting tools in-game, but they could also become new mythic items that give their users distinct breathing styles from the show.Recent anime crossovershave been lacking when it comes to mythics, andFortnitehas already proven that they know how to make swords fun.

The Main cast of Neon Genesis Evangelion & their Mechs

Neon Genesis Evangelion

Neon Genesis Evangelionis often considered to be one of the most significant anime ever made. Thanks to the series' impactful themes and memorable characters,Evangelionhas proven itself to be a timeless classic. Though it might not be the most relevant anime,Fortnite’s recent collaboration withCowboy Bebopshows that the game has no issue partnering up with older anime.

Shinji, Asuka, Rei, Misato, and Kaworu could each be skins in the game.Fortnite’s willingness to scale down characters like Godzilla and Optimus Prime to be skins means that theEVA unitsare also fair game. Additionally,Evangelioncould spawn some fun emotes based on memes from the show, like the “Congratulations!” sequence or Shinji sitting in the chair.
