Summary

A fake mobile version of the smash hit Steam game,Schedule 1, has made its way to the top of the charts in some countries.Schedule 1entered early access on Steam last month, quickly finding success with hundreds of thousands of concurrent players. While the indie title receivesregular updates, the sole developer ofSchedule 1has to confirm an official mobile port.

As of writing,Schedule 1is only available on PC via Steam. While Tyler, the game’s creator, has confirmed that official Steam Deck support is in the works,Schedule 1is not available on consoles or mobile devices. Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to have prevented others from developing fake versions of the game. Earlier this month, Tyler warned fansthat games appearing on the official PlayStation Store with"Schedule 1"in the namehad no affiliation with him. Although he did state that he would “love to portSchedule 1to console,” the game is currently only available on PC.

While Tyler has yet to officially address the issue, fans have noticed that a fake mobile port ofSchedule 1has skyrocketed to the top of the charts in some countries. In the US, “Schedule 1 Drug Dealer,” priced at $4.99 USD, has reached the number one spot in the Entertainment category of the Apple App Store. The title features the same key art, name, and logo, and is supposedly an actual playable version of the game; however, it appears to have no affiliation with the game’s developer, Tyler, also known as TVGS.

According toone user, the mobile game is actually a port of the title’s demo, rather than the full game, meaning players will be unable to progress past a certain point inSchedule 1’s main story. While there appear to be a handful of positive reviews, some have called it a “scam” and noted that it was not created by the original developer. “If you pay, you will not get access to the full game,“one reviewreads.

This appears to be the latest issue facing developer TVGS, following the huge success ofSchedule 1. Shortly after the game’s early access release, Movie Games S.A., the publisher behindDrug Dealer Simulator, beganan investigation intoSchedule 1as the studio believed it may have violated its intellectual property. Movie Games S.A. claims thatSchedule 1has used elements fromDrug Dealer Simulator, including plot, gameplay mechanics, and user interface.

Players have also been havingnumerous issues withSchedule 1mods, as many of the most popular ones appear to be infested with malware. Mods for any game should always be downloaded at the player’s own risk; however, there seems to be extra risk associated withSchedule 1mods,as various mods, such as Just Enough Drugs and Better Casino, among others, have been found to beinfested with malware.
